OAPay is a regulated and registered money remittance platform that renders money transfers for the African diaspora in the UK and the US to Africa for free. The client, OA Pay, wanted a cohesive set of icons that would be utilised across their mobile platform. I went through several drafts during initial sketches to make sure we picked the right object for the right context, then went through several drafts again in the mockup stages to ensure that selected materials did not obscure or change the meaning of the objects to which they were applied.
The client, OA Pay, wanted a cohesive set of icons that would be utilised across their mobile platform. Naturally, this meant visual consistency was of utmost importance, but not at the cost of clarity. I went through several drafts during initial sketches to make sure we picked the right object for the right context, then went through several drafts again in the mockup stages to ensure that selected materials did not obscure or change the meaning of the objects to which they were applied. After successfully shipping the icons, the client returned with a request to animate some of the icons for use in various formats; I happily obliged. All in all, I had a fun time working on this project from start to finish.
